Liam's 1st Birthday

So I can't believe my baby is already 1 year old. It seems like just yesterday we brought him home from the hospital. Liam has truly blessed our lives. He has a personality that is 100% opposite of Ethan's. Ethan always had and still has so much energy, he is always go go go. Liam is sweet and content and very very flirty!!! No girl in her right mind can resist the charm of my little man!! Oh Liam I love you so much you are my angel baby. Her are a few pics of his 1st birthday and the turtle cake I made for him.

Halloween 09

It's been quite awhile since I've blogged. Things are going well and we are pretty much enjoying life. We especially had a lot of fun on Halloween. We decided to do the whole Cowboy and Indian theme but I couldn't find a cute cowboy or indian costume for Liam so we dressed him as the horse. So the two boys went as a cowboy and his horse. It was really cute, especially Liam's horse costume because when the was crawling on the grass, he looked like a little horse grazing in the grass. The pictures really don't give these costumes the justice they deserve, because my boys really looked cute and had a lot of fun.

So both Liam and Ethan have birthdays coming up which means I have cakes to make. I'm still thinking of cake ideas but as of right now I think I will make Liam's cake a baby block cake and I might try to attempt a Thomas the Train cake for Ethan. The Thomas one will be a huge undertaking though and I'm not sure that I'm quite up for it.

Choo Choo!!

So we had planned to go to our play group this morning up at Silver Lake, I was pretty excited to get out and spend time with some friends. Ethan's tummy had a different plan. He has an upset stomach, which I think he got from drinking water in the river over the weekend. I don't think it's giardia though cuz from what I read, it takes a week or two to start showing symptoms. Plus he already seems to be doing better. Anyway, I woke up realizing that I have so very much to do today to get ready for girls camp. I also have to teach the Young Women's lesson on Sunday, so I need to have that ready before I head out for camp. I decided that I really need to create a distraction for Ethan so I can get crackin' on all that I need to do. My sister Shannon was nice enough to give Ethan all of her son's old Thomas the Train stuff, so I began to build the train track distraction.
Well I decided that the bigger I made the track, the longer he would be distracted. I didn't take into account that it takes time to build the track, especially while you have a two and a half year old trying to help you!!! I finally got the track put together after about an hour. YAY! Now his fun has begun, and I need to get to work!

Oh and Liam of course is happy as can be, he loves the trains too!!
